I have an older house and like the look of the Aga Legacy 36" range and the Ilve Majestic 40" range, but I don't know much about them. What are your thoughts.

Am I glad to have found you. Apologies in advance as I have not just one question but several. I am embarking on a major house remodel and will be getting all new kitchen appliances and am getting very confused. I would really love your input.

    Fridge
Needs to be counter depth (30 inches is ok) and we use our freezer quite a bit. I am leaning towards the KitchenAid Architect Series side by side 24.5 cu counter depth because I am under the impression that it is the only fridge with this depth and capacity that has an ice maker in the door. Is that correct? What do you think of this fridge and should I be considering others. Also, I am very open to finding discontinued models but am not sure how long they've had the extra freezer room. Do you know?

    Cooktop - 30 or 36 inches?
I have room for a 36 inch cooktop but am wondering if I really need that much cooking area. Do people really use 6 burners? We have small children and busy lives. I do not cook every day and even on holidays think I should be able to manage with 30 inches. Also, wanted to micro/vent and have been told that only GE makes a 36 inch venting microwave. is this true? i am looking at the bosch 500 series for this. is it worth the extra money over a KitchenAid? Do you think I should have the 36 inches. I am trying not to overbuild but don't want to be shortsited either.

    Dishwasher
Bosch seems to be the one to go with. I'd love your take on their best quality/value. Do I spend extra to have the controls hidden or not worth it?

    Double Oven
Am considering Bosch 500 series, KitchenAid Architect, GE Profile. Basically I want one convection, a good amount of space and not too many bells and whistles. Any other suggestions? Also, older models that you would recommend if I can find at a discount.

I look forward to your thoughts.

    Thanks,
